The Benefits of Better Breathing, Meditation & Relaxation

Saturday, March 14th & Sunday, March 15th, 2020 in Toronto, Canada & live online

9:30 am to 5:30 pm both days

Learn the interaction between your breath, your organs, your nervous system, stress, and sleep issues like snoring and sleep apnea

This one-of-a-kind, two-day course is for anyone who’s clients say that they:
Would like to meditate, but……
Feels they should meditate, but …….
Has tried meditation but don’t feel they do it 'right'
Don’t have the time
Don’t understand the need
Are stressed all the time and cant seem to relax
Doesnt see the need to relax
Is this you? Welcome!
You're in the right place!
Jennifer Snowdon is uniquely experienced to guide you through these two days.
She is a trauma-informed yoga instructor, who is called on to teach across a number of yoga training programmes.
She is an association board member and Buteyko Breathing Educator.
As an experienced mindful movement therapist, Jennifer will help you bring together breath, meditation, and relaxation in this workshop.

The course is designed to give you the chance to experience a variety of meditation styles, breathing techniques, and chanting.

Jennifer will also show you strategies you can use to help clients who need to breathe, meditate, and relax - at the same time.

Should be easy, right?

Here's What You'll Learn:

  • What is happening between the brain and the nervous system
  • What is happening in our physical and energetic body — do they agree?
  • What we mean by trauma in the context of meditation and why it matters so much
  • The many and wondrous ways of the vagus nerve and its dialogues with the brain and body
  • A selection of meditative styles (e.g. guided, walking, seated) and how to choose one or more  styles to suit what is happening with your clients
  • The purpose of chanting and how it can break through barriers to meditation and/or relaxation
Experience and take away tools to try different meditative models and understand why one type does not suit all.
Evaluate what your clients’ physical and energetic blockages may be, and figure out what strategies may work for them.
You’ll be able to try out and see how breath, sound, movement and nerve transmission all constitute flow — physical and energetic — in us all, whether we are aware of it or not.
Students will be able to use any of the skills learned in this course with clients and students according to their own scope(s) of practice.
* Course completion is intended for continuing education only and does not constitute a qualification in any of the exercises or the practices experienced over the course of the weekend.
